With Valentine’s Day approaching, Britain’s most romantic Post Offices have been announced — including a bar, a high-end florist, and chocolatiers.

A new survey by the postage company revealed that two-thirds of Brits think that Valentine’s Day is more important than ever this year.

In addition, half of the 2,000 people surveyed agreed that giving a meaningful gift to a loved one has become more important since the pandemic.

As Post Offices play such an important role in the occasion, with some couples even choosing to get married in them, the company is shining light on its most romantic branches in the UK.

Kristian Latham, head of letters and parcels at the Post Office said: “Post Offices have long been the unexpected romantic-hubs of Britain, the first step in the journey of Valentine’s Day.

“A lot of people don’t realise how diverse the Post Office network is or how much of a role postmasters play at the heart of communities for events such as Valentine’s Day.

“We have Post Office’s in churches, pubs, restaurants, chocolatiers, gift shops and florists, so these are places you can date, buy gifts and even marry in.

“These Post Offices have been carefully selected and are some of the quirkiest, fun and most charming branches in Britain.”
